Quinn was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up helping out at her parents’ bookstore, and graduated from Highland High School. Quinn attended UNM, receiving undergraduate degrees in Music and Professional Writing, and completing a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2005. Quinn graduated law school in the top 10% of her class, and served as an editor on the New Mexico Law Review. She received the Julia Raymond McCulloch award for excellence in Constitutional Law, as well the Don G. McCormick writing prize, clinical honors, and a merit scholarship.
After law school, Quinn had the great privilege to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Lynn Pickard on the New Mexico Court of Appeals.
Following her clerkship, Quinn served as an Assistant Public Defender. She spent more than five years serving New Mexico’s indigent population, and received invaluable experience, first chairing approximately 25 jury trials and countless bench trials.
